In the spirit of spring, I recently participated in an Easter Egg Carton Swap hosted by Cassandra from An Artful Adventure.
We were asked to alter an egg carton and fill it with fun treats for our swap partners.
I was inspired by some sweet German scrap bunnies and used them to decorate the interior of the cartons.
This is Judy's carton. I had gessoed each carton and spritzed them with some pink pearlescent glimmer mist.
A bit of "glimmer" grass and trims
A little peek of the treasures inside :)
The tag was made from a vintage postcard image which I glimmer misted and added some Fruit Punch stickles (my fave pink stickles!) then a little ruffled crepe paper and velvet ribbon.
Each box was wrapped in vintage lace and pale pink seam binding, adorned with the tag and nestled in some yummy tulle.
Next is Becky's carton.
I used some crinkled, dyed seam binding for her bunny to hop in.
More vintage and shabby sweet treats!
Some pretty eyelet lace and velvet ribbon for the tag. I also used the Rock Candy stickles on the eggs (you can't really see it from the pic) which I really liked because it gave the eggs a chunky frosted effect.
Here are the gorgeous cartons from my swap partners!!
I love the sweet bits each used to adorn the cartons.
Judy had this really neat touch of creating a strap of lace held by two buttons.
The strap is holding bits of lace and pretty textiles.
I love this idea!
Oodles and oodles of baubles and treasures.
One of my favorite things is the adorable princess chick!
She is wearing some vintage millinery and and sparkly tiara - so cute!!
Becky spoiled me with all of the fantastic trims and vintage buttons!
I love the frozen charlotte and glitter filled salt shaker she sent.
More beautiful baubles . . .
Thank you ladies for such wonderful presents!!
I had such fun!!
